Oil Falls, Heading for Biggest 2-Day Decline Since June, on OPEC, Economy

(Bloomberg) -- Crude oil fell in New York, heading
for its biggest two-day decline since June, after OPEC increased
output and on signs U.S. economic growth will slow, reducing fuel
demand.

Members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries,
excluding Angola, raised production last month by the most since
September 2004, a Bloomberg News survey showed. Asian stocks
dropped on renewed concern losses in the U.S. mortgage market
will trim growth in the world's biggest economy.

Yen Declines From Three-Month High Against Euro as Japanese Stocks Rebound

(Bloomberg) -- The yen fell from a three-month high
against the euro as a recovery in Japanese stock prices eased
concern traders will reduce investments in riskier assets funded
by loans in the currency.

``The rebound in Asian stocks is helping to restore some
risk appetite,'' said Lee Wai Tuck, currency strategist at
Forecast Singapore Ltd. ``This is causing some yen selling.''

Asian Stocks Rise to a Record; Hyundai Motor, Woodside Petroleum Advance

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks rose for a third day,
driving a regional benchmark to a record. Hyundai Motor Co. led
South Korean automakers higher after Meritz Securities Co.
lifted its price estimate for the stock, citing earnings.

Woodside Petroleum Ltd., Australia's second-largest oil and
gas producer, climbed as crude futures contracts traded near an
11-month high. Samsung Electronics Co. slid after prices of
computer memory chips fell by the most in two weeks.

Asian Stocks Fall in U.S. Trading as Infosys Shares Drop; LG.Philips Rises

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks trading in the U.S.
slipped, led by Infosys Technologies Ltd., on expectation the
Indian software company will report the slowest profit growth in
more than a year.

The Bank of New York Co.'s Asia ADR Index, tracking the
region's American depositary receipts, fell 1.1 percent to 171.16,
the biggest drop since June 22.

Asian Stocks Rise in U.S. Trading; BHP Billiton Advances on Metal Prices

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks rose in U.S. trading as
mining shares including BHP Billiton followed copper and other
metal prices higher.

The Bank of New York Co.'s Asia ADR Index, tracking the
region's American depositary receipts, added 0.8 percent to
173.07, the seventh gain in eight sessions.

Yen Drops as Advance in Asian Stock Markets Spurs Increase in Carry Trades

(Bloomberg) -- The yen fell to a record low against
the euro and dropped for a fifth day versus the dollar as a rally
in Asian stocks gave investors more confidence to buy higher-
yielding assets with money borrowed in Japan.

The currency also slid to a 16-year low against the
Australian dollar, taking losses in the past year to 13 percent,
as investors increased so-called carry trades. A stronger-than-
expected U.S. employment report added to optimism global economic
growth will be sustained, increasing the appetite of fund
managers for riskier assets.

Asian Stocks Resume July Rally on Economic Growth, Oil; Samsung Climbs

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks resumed their July rally
on signs economic growth in Japan and South Korea is accelerating
and as crude oil traded near a 10-month high.

Japan's Komatsu Ltd. gained the most in a week after a
government report showed machinery orders rose more than forecast
in May. Samsung Electronics Co. led the Kospi index to a fourth
straight high after the commerce ministry raised its forecast for
South Korean exports. BHP Billiton Ltd., Australia's largest oil
explorer, climbed for an eighth day.

Companies earnings back in Asia focus

(Reuters) - Corporate earnings and outlooks from top Asian and U.S. firms in coming weeks are set to shape the trading landscape for Asian stocks, which along with global shares hit record highs in the first week of July.

Samsung Electronics, the world's top memory chip maker, Infosys Technologies Ltd., India's No. 2 software exporter, and Singapore Press Holdings, Southeast Asia's biggest newspaper publisher, are among major firms due to announce results this week.

Asian Stocks Climb, Paced by Woodside, Mitsui; Mitsubishi Estate Drops

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks rose for a third day, led
by energy-related shares, after declining U.S. fuel stockpiles and
attempted car bombings in the U.K. lifted the price of crude oil
to a 10-month high.

Woodside Petroleum Ltd., Australia's second-largest oil
producer, advanced to its highest in a week. Mitsui & Co., a
Japanese trading company that generated almost 15 percent of last
year's revenue from energy, jumped by the most in two months.

Treasury Two-Year Note Yields Reach Lowest in a Month on Outlook for Risk

(Bloomberg) -- Treasury two-year notes rose,
pushing yields to the lowest in a month, as investors dumped
riskier assets and a government report showed orders for durable
goods fell more than forecast in May.

U.S., European and Asian stocks fell and the perceived risk
of owning U.S. corporate bond rose to a 10-month high in the
derivatives market on concern over the extent of investor losses
arising from defaults on subprime mortgage loans. Treasuries
gained as dealers prepared to bid on $13 billion of five-year
notes in the monthly auction of the securities today.

Asian Stocks Trading in U.S. Post Worst Weekly Drop in 2 Months; BHP Falls

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks trading in the U.S. had
their worst weekly decline in almost two months amid concern
China may boost interest rates to cool economic growth and the
damage from a collapse in U.S. subprime market may be worse than
expected.

Toyota Motor Corp. and BHP Billiton led the retreat.

Asian Stocks Gain on Yen, Commodities; Toyota Rises, China Reaches Record

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks rose for a third day as
prices of metals and crude oil advanced and the yen weakened
against the dollar.

BHP Billiton Ltd. rose to a third straight record, while Rio
Tinto Group became the first A$100 share on the Australian stock
exchange. Toyota Motor Corp. gained on expectations declines in
the yen will help boost exporters' dollar-denominated sales and
as a report showed U.S. core inflation slowed.

Asian Stocks Rise for Third Day on U.S. Inflation, Yen; Toyota Advances

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks rose for a third day
after a measure of U.S. inflation cooled and the yen weakened
against the dollar and euro, helping improve earnings prospects
for the region's exporters.

Samsung Electronics Co. and Toyota Motor Corp. led gains
among technology companies and automakers. BHP Billiton Ltd.,
the world's No. 1 mining company, climbed after metals prices
advanced. China's CSI 300 Index opened 2.5 percent higher, set
for a record.

Asian Stocks Rebound From Two-Week Low on Fed Report; Toyota, Samsung Gain

(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks rebounded from a two-week
low after U.S. retail sales rose more than expected and the
Federal Reserve said the world's biggest economy is growing
without stoking inflation.

Toyota Motor Corp. and Samsung Electronics Co. led exporters
higher as the Fed's comments damped speculation the U.S. will
raise interest rates. BHP Billiton Ltd. advanced to a record after
metals and crude oil prices climbed.
