BAE Systems says completes Armor takeover

(Reuters) - "The acquisition expands the company's business in the United States and strengthens BAE Systems' position as one of the world's leading land systems businesses," BAE said in a statement to the London Stock Exchange.



BAE announced the transaction valued at $4.53 billion on May 7. Armor makes wheeled military vehicles and vehicle and individual armour systems.

UK's BAE, VT say agree to form shipbuilding JV

(Reuters) - BAE said in a statement to the London Stock Exchange that VT
would have the right to put its stake on BAE, either in whole or
so as to reduce it to 20-24.9 percent, from one year after
completion.

LSE, Borsa Italiana Intend to Keep MTS Bond Platform as ICAP Considers Bid

(Bloomberg) -- The London Stock Exchange Group Plc
and Borsa Italiana SpA and intend to keep MTS SpA, the electronic
European government bond trading system, as part of their merger.

ICAP Plc, the world's biggest inter-dealer broker, hired
corporate finance company Lexicon Partners to advise it on a
possible bid for MTS. Milan-based Borsa Italiana, which today
agreed to be bought by the LSE for 1.63 billion euros ($2.2
billion), this month exercised an option to buy a controlling
stake in MTS after Euronext NV, the joint owner of the platform,
was acquired by the New York Stock Exchange.

LSE board to discuss Borsa deal - sources

(Reuters) - LONDON/MILAN, June 21 - The London Stock Exchange board of directors was due to meet on Thursday morning to discuss the terms of a possible deal with Borsa Italiana, sources close to the situation told Reuters.



Among the issues being reviewed is how much of a stake Borsa Italiana would have in a combined company, the sources said.

U.K. Stocks Decline, Paced by Persimmon, British Land, Tesco on Rates

(Bloomberg) -- U.K. stocks fell, paced by Persimmon
Plc and British Land Plc, among the companies most sensitive to
higher interest rates. Tesco Plc led retailers lower.

London Stock Exchange Plc retreated after the bourse said it
is in takeover talks with Borsa Italiana SpA.
